An accomplished entrepreneur and philanthropist with experience in the agriscience industry, Nixon "Nix" Lauridsen founded the Lauridsen Group, and has since grown it into a company with operations in Iowa, Denmark, and Spain, with a network of several affiliated businesses employing thousands of people. Nixon Lauridsen's work has focused on advancing agricultural and nutritional research while supporting the commercial development of food and health science products.
As founder and former chief executive officer of the Lauridsen Group, Nix Lauridsen emphasized research-driven growth and employee collaboration. His leadership approach aimed to balance innovation with operational stability, which helped the company establish a global presence in the food and health sectors. In recognition of his business contributions, he was inducted into the Iowa Business Hall of Fame in 2017.
Mr. Lauridsen earned a juris doctor from the University of Iowa and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin. His community involvement includes support for education, the arts, and programs for families in need. Outside of his professional and charitable work, he enjoys opera, theater, woodworking, restoring antique cars, skiing, hiking, and traveling with family.
